ESAG executive member Ilona Payne does beautiful ecclesiastical needlework by hand, some examples of which can be found in the ESAG Gallery Page.

A quick post from her during Holy Week:

At work in the studio; it's the day before Holy Thursday. I'm appreciating the meditative calm of hand stitching altar linens. Right now I'm making a few Purificators for the chapel at one of our Catholic High Schools. Here is one of them, ready to be embroidered:

The Purificator is used by the priest to wipe the chalice and patens.
